Explicit Consent for Processing Health Data

Effective Date: May 6, 2026

This notice explains the explicit consent that may be requested when a user shares symptoms, complaints, or other health-related information through the DocOnWay platform for care coordination purposes.

1. Purpose of this consent

The purpose of this consent is to allow DocOnWay to process special category personal data, including health data, under applicable data protection laws, including KVKK and GDPR, only to the extent necessary to receive, understand, route, and coordinate a user's care request.

2. Health data categories

The data may include complaints, symptoms, medical history summaries, medication information, allergy information, age or age range, attachments shared for routing purposes, test summaries, provider communication notes, and related health-related information that the user voluntarily provides.

3. Processing purposes

The data may be processed to understand the request, determine a suitable care route, identify a relevant provider type, coordinate communication, facilitate booking operations, support safety reviews, and assist with service continuity and complaint handling.

4. Sharing with independent healthcare providers

Where necessary for service coordination, relevant health information may be shared with independent healthcare providers such as doctors, clinics, hospitals, dentists, or laboratories so that they can review the request and decide whether and how to proceed under their own professional responsibility.

5. AI-assisted intake and routing

DocOnWay may use AI-assisted intake or routing tools to collect initial information, ask clarifying questions, categorize the request, and support the coordination flow. These tools are used for informational intake and operational routing only.

6. No diagnosis or treatment by DocOnWay

DocOnWay does not diagnose, prescribe, or treat. Health information shared with the platform is not used by DocOnWay to make a clinical diagnosis or treatment decision. All medical decisions remain with the independent healthcare provider.

7. No use of identified health data for marketing

DocOnWay does not use identified health data for marketing purposes. Health data is processed only for the coordination, safety, support, and legal/operational purposes that are compatible with the relevant care request and applicable law.

8. Withdrawal of consent

A user may withdraw explicit consent for health data processing at any time by contacting DocOnWay through the privacy contact channel, subject to lawful retention needs and the limits of processing already carried out before the withdrawal request was received.

9. Consequences of withdrawal

If consent is withdrawn, DocOnWay may no longer be able to continue the relevant care request, communicate the complaint to a suitable provider, or support the same coordination flow. Some services may therefore become unavailable or incomplete after withdrawal.
